Stuart Long

Born in Warrington, Cheshire, Stuart first started painting in oils, but later turned to watercolour. His technique has developed to a recognisable style combining freshness with strength of colour. The ‘wet into wet' process is used to create the soft reflections characteristic in Stuart's work. His paintings are exhibited in galleries mainly in the North of England and Scotland with works hanging in private and corporate collections in many countries including South Africa, Japan, Australia and America.
As well as his watercolours Stuart has moved into acrylics on canvas depicting Scottish highland beach scenes and landscapes, painted with a stronger palette.
